Believe it or not, we are 2/3 of the way through the semester. It's time to calculate your GPA...
    GPA Scale
  1. Click on "grades" in Moodle.
  2. Choose "overview report" from the dropdown menu to view your percentages.
  3. Look at the table to the right to find the corresponding GPA.
  4. Multiply the GPA by the number of credits each percent is worth (General education courses for the first 3 terms are 3 credits each, while drafting and design courses total 11 credits. Physics is 5 credits, while drafting and design for the 4th term is 12 credits. Although the 3rd drafting course has barely begun, this calc gives you a good sense of your current GPA)
  5. Add the products.
  6. Divide by the total by the number of credits. This is your GPA.
Example:
  1. Math=86.67, Socs=72.25, Lab=90.02
  2. 3.0, 2.0, 3.7
  3. 3.0 X 3cr, 2.0 X 3cr, 3.7 X 11cr
  4. 9+6+40.7=55.7
  5. 55.7/(3+3+11)=3.28
If you want to figure in others semesters, then add the figure in step 4 to your previous GPA X the number of credits completed
  1. credits completed = 34 X 3.3 GPA = 112.2
  2. 112.2 + 55.7= 167.9
  3. 167.9/(34+17)=3.29
Who said math skills aren't important! wink

Remember: If you fail the 1st course or if your term GPA falls below 1.5, you must repeat the term. If your GPA is 1.5-2.0, you can continue, but may lose financial aid. You need >2.0 to graduate.
